Tom Serrin at the VisionWalkTom Serrin, also known as PaPa Tom, was a driving force behind the creation of both the Triad VisionWalk and the Greensboro Winston Salem Chapter. Tom worked with FFB Board Member, Marilyn Green and volunteers from across the Triad to host a wildly successful Inaugural VisionWalk in 2010.

Tom has always been active in the community. He is a leader at the Cherry Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville. His dedication to his community led to a massive outpouring of support when he reached out for assistance for the Foundation Fighting Blindness.

In his role as VisionWalk Chair, Tom has recruited teams, walkers, and sponsors and worked to get information out to everyone possible about the work of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. In recognition for his drive and particular knowledgebase, Tom was asked to join the Kernersville Mayor’s Council for the Disabled.

With Tom out talking the Walk and the Chapter, we know we’ll be able to grow year after year.
