Seattle Chapter Welcome Letter

Welcome to the newly formed Seattle Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness!

Our goal is to host educational meetings featuring retinal specialists, researchers, low vision specialists and resources. Social meetings are planned as well to provide a supportive environment for people with retinal degenerative diseases. As a chapter we strive to provide a sense of community and hope.

The Seattle Chapter is one of many across the country. A goal of the chapter is grow and engage as many chapter leaders and volunteers as possible from the community so funds can be raised to support the vital research needed to save and restore the sight of those affected by vision loss.

One of the ways chapter volunteers raise funds is through participation in the Washington VisionWalk (www.fightblindness.org/WashingtonVisionWalk) We want to make sure that as many people as possible in our community know about the chapter, the Foundation, and about the hope that we all have, for a future with a cure, so everyone’s involvement is important.
