Joey Richey

Joey Richey has been a member of the Foundation Fighting Blindness for years and when he heard that the VisionWalk was coming to Birmingham in 2009 he jumped at the chance to participate; his team, Joey’s Messengers of Hope, raised $4,600!

Joey knows that when we all work together in support of the mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness that there is nothing we can’t accomplish.

Joey reached out to his personal contacts, sold POP Eyes in his office to illustrate the UAB/Auburn rivalry, and even went on Good Day Alabama on Fox6 with Scott Smith to promote the VisionWalk. This year, Joey is starting early in his outreach. He’s presenting to community groups, recruiting Sponsors and Walkers, and talking the Walk all over Alabama.
