Thank you for your interest in the Nashville Chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB). Our goal as a chapter is to keep you up-to-date on the latest chapter news and research being done by FFB.
The Nashville Chapter is one of two chapters in Tennessee, there is also a chapter in Memphis. Our mission is to provide information and support for those with retinal diseases. We also raise money which is used to fund FFB research. Our signature event is the VisionWalk. I encourage you to participate in this fun event which will be in the spring before the temperatures start to rise in the south.
In addition to raising money for research, we also meet at least two times a year. These meetings usually focus on an area of specific interest to those that have retinal degenerative diseases. Topics include technology, self-defense, research, etc. We also conduct Coping, Caring, and Sharing (CCS) sessions at least 4 times a year. These sessions are informal and provide an environment where individuals can come to share there stories, ask questions about how others cope, or just receive the support and encouragement needed to deal with everyday tasks and challenges.
Involvement with all of our meetings and chapter events is a fun, free way to connect with other individuals affected. If you have questions regarding any of the upcoming meetings or events please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks for all your support of the Nashville Chapter!
