“Research Update: TUDCA Trial and Findings in Retinitis Pigmentosa and Bardet-Biedl Syndrome” -with Dr. Arlene Drack (via satellite)
Dr. Drack will give an update via Skype satellite on the TUDCA trial being conducted at the University of Iowa. Dr. Drack and her team are working to evaluate and compare the protective effect of tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) on photoreceptor degeneration in different models of retinal degeneration (RD) in mice. Her presentation will focus specifically on retinitis pigmentosa and Bardet-Biedl syndrome.
