Pittsburgh Chapter Speaker Series Presentation:

On Monday, April 29, 2013, Chapter members enjoyed a presentation by Igor Nasonkin, Ph.D., an Assistant Director at The Louis J. Fox Center for Vision Restoration and Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh. We met at the UPMC Montefiore Hospital, and would like to thank UPMC for the use of their facilities.

Dr. Nasonkin discussed his research into stem cell technology and its potential for treating patients with retinal degenerative diseases, and also answered questions on his research and other retinal degenerative diseases.
