Did You Miss the Southern California Vision Seminar on March 16th?
AIRS-LA (Audio Internet Reading Service of Los Angeles) has posted a podcast of the Vision Seminar that you can download and listen to by visiting http://www.airsla.org/ffbprograms.asp. The program has been broken into three parts so be sure to download all three.
The Seminar speakers and topics included:
- Tim Schoen, Ph.D., Director of Science & Pre-Clinical Development, Foundation Fighting Blindness Clinical Research Institute. Dr. Schoen provided a general overview of retinal degenerative diseases and current and future clinical trials.
- Henry Klassen, M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor, University of California at Irvine Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Klassen presented on stem cell therapy and the specific stem cell clinical trial at UCI.
- Jim Little, Vice President of Research and Development, Second Sight Medical Products. Mr. Little discussed Second Sight’s Argus II Retinal Prosthesis and what it means to you.
