More than 10 million Americans are affected by blinding retinal diseases such as macular degeneration, retinitis pigmentosa and Usher Syndrome. The Foundation Fighting Blindness is working to find treatments and cures for these devastating diseases. Our Foundation funds leading-edge research in areas such as genetics, gene therapy, transplantation, artificial retinal implants, and pharmaceutical and nutritional therapies.
Since 2006, VisionWalk has raised over $23 million to support the mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness. More than 50 walks are planned for 2013, including the 6th Annual Philadelphia VisionWalk on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Independence National Historical Park.
Make a difference! Join us for a fun, family-friendly event to celebrate the fundraising efforts of the greater Philadelphia community and get together with friends and family of those who share a similar goal of finding a cure. We will have plenty of activities, including a bounce house, face painting, characters, music and a whole lot more.
Take important steps toward a cure – walk with the Foundation Fighting Blindness on Saturday, October 13th!
