Featured Volunteer, Lori and Dan Mayer

The Mayer’s have been crucial volunteers for the Orange County VisionWalk for years.  Dan has been a Lion in the Lions’ Club for 25 years, and has served many positions on both the club and district level. From 2000-01, Lori served with Dan as the Lions’ Club District Governor for the district, which covers all of Orange County and parts of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.  Dan credits Lori as being his main support system for 25 years and the reason why he has been able to do so much in the community and with the Lions.  Dan has worked for the OC Sherriff’s Department as a Sergeant and has been there for 25 years as well.  Together, Dan and Lori secure the best volunteers, amazing in-kind donations and strong local support for our Orange County VisionWalk.  With all of this hard work, Orange County VisionWalk has become the district project for all the local Lions Clubs in Orange County.
