Sacramento Chapter Highlights
The Sacramento Chapter has grown tremendously since our first organizing meeting in October 2006. We have a deeply committed and enthusiastic group of people that believe that a cure is in sight and therefore give of their time and talents on our Sacramento Chapter board. If you share this same belief and want to make a difference in the lives of people affected by retinal degenerative diseases by raising funds to drive the research faster toward a cure, please consider joining us as a chapter board member or volunteer; newcomers are always welcome!
The chapter holds two general chapter meetings per year and an annual VisionWalk with hopes of putting on an annual Dining in the Dark sometime in the future. Our chapter board meetings are held every other month and we discuss our progress on the three main areas for chapter development: membership, public awareness and fundraising. We always have a chapter board member greet the audience and provide an update on upcoming chapter activities. Our most popular general chapter meetings are when we have retinal specialists and human clinical trial participants provide research updates.
New Chapter members: All are welcome! For more information on the Sacramento Chapter and upcoming VisionWalk, please contact Donna Cohen, Events Manager, at (310) 450-2910 or DCohen@FightBlindness. |
