Message from the Presidents:

My name is Bill Huber. I ampresident of the Bay Area Chapter Fighting Blindness. The Silicon Valley has been known for its great enterprise and entrepreneurial spirit, and we strive to be part of this legacy. I would like to welcome you, and extend an invitation to become a part of a community of dedicated individuals. We all share the common purpose of supporting each other in dealing with all forms of retinal degenerative disease.

wong Dear friends of the Bay Area chapter. We are Sandra and and Henry Wong, co-presidents of the Bay Area chapter. In December of 2004, after going through a series of tests and eye examinations, we learned that our son, Connor, had Stargardt disease. As Connor’s parents, we were stunned. He is the eldest of our two sons.

Featured Volunteer:

In most respects, Elan Zankman is a typical nine-year-old kid. He’s a fierce competitor in soccer and basketball, and enjoys a long volley on the tennis court with his father, Eric. He is also a math whiz and a fan of board games. “He’s been practicing basketball very doggedly lately,” says his mother, Pam. “Elan is an intense kid. He likes to win.”
